Assignment 1: Object Cloud

Sketches and Moodboard

Assignment:

  • Using the Adobe Firefly Moodboard system and hand sketches complete a moodboard with 5 sketches to visualize ideas for object cloud compositions. See examples below for drawing reference.

Process 1: pencil sketches

  • Make 5 different sketches concentrating on 5 different ideas for potential object clouds
  • Use a different page or sheet for each sketch
  • Use lines, form,direction, gesture, etc. to indicate forms and how they'll be organized, arranged, concentrated, etc. for working in 3D

Process 2: Adobe Firefly

  • Scan or photograph sketches and upload to an Adobe Firefly Moodboard (start with an artboard in 4K - 3840 x 2160)
  • Arrange sketches
  • Make additional reference squares for a color palette
  • Add additional moodboard elements
  • If necessary, send the Firefly Moodboard to Adobe Express for additonal color tools, etc.
  • Keep it simple

Process 3: Export the Moodboard

  • Export moodboards asPDFs
  • upload to D2L on the due date
